What do you enjoy about the class you play the most.

Our friends over at Blog Azeroth have decided that all us bloggers of azeroth should write a connected post, so here we go

What do you enjoy about the class you play the most

Rogue

What i enjoy about my class, damage meters, i know that in the modern world...of warcraft that people are judging raid performance less and less on the damage meters, but i still hold onto the fact that 9 times out of 10 i am in the top 3- rogue single target DPS although needed less and less is still by far the most superior DPS in game, and from a guy that loves his damage this is the class for me in pve

And so that brings me nicely around to PVP, Now remeber the old days, that were rightly called "the world of roguecraft" that was me, i was that fiend that 2 shotted your priest alt. PvP for me is and always will be Crit mania, maybe thats why im not doing all that great in arena, Crit buildsjust dont cut it anymore- so i stalk to the battlegrounds in my slinky mutilate specc finding the low resiliance targets and bringing them down in few but well placed / timed critical blows.

The Downside
Rogue isn't the overpowered class that they used to be (ignore those silly warlocks ^.^), but try as i might i simply cant play anything else, Rogues are now embeded into me, and me into them. i play them on every game i can now. Quincey has warped me into a sneaky Son of a bitch :)

Day 6, without WoW
God damned its haunting to realise just how addicted I am to this game, day 6 and my general QQ levels have risen from low to dangerously high, I have noticed myself becoming snappy, angry and ill-tempered, just like when somebody tries to give up smoking. God I can’t wait for my computer to be fixed, its going to the shop on Friday so we will hopefully know what is wrong with it soon.

In good news, my parents have offered to pay for the repairs necessary, this is due to recent good results from college, what can I say LOVE YOU MOM <3.

In other news, during my absence my guild has sort of restructured, the Elder rank from that i had before has been changed and i have been busted back down to member :(, now the rank comes with responsibility, such as maintaining a high raid attendance, looking after the newer members, showing the nubs the ropes, basically all the things I had been doing, and as soon as I get back online, will continue to do, Hopefully I will be earning myself this new spanking rank soon <3

The Laptop - My savior or my curse

So Last night, day 5 without warcraft, i decided to load it onto my (my brothers but meh) laptop. It isn't ideal for playing, but it atleast gives me the opptunity to talk to my guildies.

LOL
my guildies are funny :) evan sitting around ogrimmar with a terrible FPS was more fun than i have had for the last few days. But god laptops are annoying. the touchpad is horrible and the keys are too close together.

When i get home tonight im going to plug in a proper Keyboard and mouse maybe it will be playable. ish.

Computer problems - Continued.

So i have been working for most of the week on my computer so if anyone has a super tech mind and can help drop me a line.

Friday night i was playing Call of duty 4 when my CPU fan was disconnected, unfortunately i didn't notice this and carried on playing - firstly my graphics started to play up, with the computer eventually locking up. It was about 3-4 minutes before i noticed the CPU fan.

So now when i try to boot up any game it wont load and locks up again. :( sad panda

Now normally I'm rather tech savvy, but this time I'm way above my head, so i took it into the computer servicing class i attend on a Tuesday night, hoping for an answer.

No such luck :(

my class and teacher was completely stumped too, whatever has broke it this time has really killed it dead. So I'm taking it to a PC health shop on Friday :( it feels like cheating but a week without WoW is killing me :P

Another Day, Another missed Oppotunity.

10 -4 david be advised, there is a high ammount QQ in your general area, suggest you evacuate and seek higher ground.

first off. let me get this all out.
ARRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
People annoy me.
Last week we had a nice healthy number of signups for Tempest Keep, and look what wonders it did, 2 new bosses in 1 reset. Proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that we are as ready and capable as any to make clear cut progress in the realm of 25 man raiding.

So yesterdays raid came. And Went. Not enough people bothered. I had thought that the immense progress we made last week would spure some on, but apparantly the guild and its raids are simply not worth some people's time.

Now dont get me wrong, we had a few who HAD to cancel, Real life got in the way, they had emergancies / connection problems. Fair enough, im not going to start bashing on people for that but evan with those people being present we would still have been a fair few off, dissapointing to say the least.

Now the fact that i spent hours yesterday getting prepared for the raid doesnt bother me so much, i now have all those supplies for tonight (if people bother tonight of-course) But the sheer ammount of work the regular raiders, the officers and more importantly our Guild Leader, Creamcheese puts in are simply being wasted thanks to the annoying few who cant be bothered to show up.

I hope something is done, i don't want people to get kicked but i would like to see some priorty for those of us who continue to make real effort, who turn up with the right add-ons, potions, and pre-knowledge of the fight in hand.

a very dissapointed
Quincey

The King of Ninja Looters

No matter your feelings on ninjas, no matter if you yourself have been scammed, I'm sorry but this guy is epic. He's an asshat, for sure, but at least he does what he does with a little bit of style.

Find the full story Here

A summary
I know the smarter among you refuse to read the down right epic fail that are the wow forums. So me being the brave, good looking soul that i am have done it for you.

Once upon a time, there was an asshat named Tiller, an alt of somebody hellbent on making money, no matter the cost to other people. Tiller being the dedicated soul that he was spent all his free time sat in the neutral auction house. He spent hours and hours on end simply hitting refresh waiting for those people trying to transfer goods across the factions using the AH. (This is generally done by putting an item up for 1copper and having a friend buy it really quickly) And god bless his soul the poor little bugger claimed he made good money from it.

But alas the money he was making didn't seem enough. He set his sights on a new venture, the recently added guild banks. So he started to do his research, and found a guild who's guild master was not online, only a Rank 1 officer. He made his move, making an alt he logged on and whispered this person a member of Crimson Blood Clan, Steamwheedle cartel US. He got himself invited to this guild under the lie that he was this Officers bank alt, he was then given officer status himself and proceeded to swipe a big chunk of gold and items (including an epic blade).

At this point although it was an epic ninjaring, it wasnt awesome yet. the thing that made this whole thing awesome was his attitude towards it, he tried to make this out to be a robin hood style thing, robbing from the rich and giving to the needy, but without the giving part.

Funny as hell to read, but my sympathies to the guild that was scammed.

what can we do to prevent it?

Always ask for somebody to log their main before inviting their alt to the guild, this instantly protects you from this sort of scamming, but also make sure your guild master has good precautions in place.

What's YOUR game?

Time to steal others content, i just found this on the EU- PVP forums
http://forums.wow-europe.com/thread.html?topicId=2406103920&sid=1&pageNo=1

" After spending far too much time in Alterac Valley, I've noticed that the majority of players conform to one of several different stereotypes in their battleground behaviour. After detailed study I'm pleased to present this thesis on the most common player types found in AV. This is written from a Horde perspective, but I'm sure many of these personas have a similar Alliance counterpart.

Type 1 - "Galvangar's best friend"

This type of player is easy to spot since they'll shout their traditional war cry "X PEOPLE TO GALV PLEASE!" before the gates open, usually in all caps. X varies but is usually at least 10, and can be as high as 30. This is normally ignored by the rest of the team. Galvangar's best friend will then either abandon this tactic (normally with a remark such as "Ok, you guys don't want to win then") or in particularly extreme cases will defend alone and die, giving periodic reports to the team such as "OMG GALV AT 50%" and "GALV DOWN FFS!". Occasionally there are enough of this player type to mount an effective defence at Galvangar, normally causing the Alliance to bypass him completely and take everything else instead.

Type 2 - "The pessimist"

The pessimist is certain that the team will lose the battleground. They often also tell a sad story about how they lost their last 86 games of AV before the gates open, or instead simply state their catchphrase "Let's lose this fast!". Every so often they'll remind the team about this by saying "we've lost now", "no attack - we lose", "no defence - we lose" and similar. Oddly having a very persistent pessimist on the team does seem to greatly increase the chance of a loss, possibly a demoralising effect that requires further study.

Type 3 - "The intellectually inferior pessimist"

Exactly the same as the pessimist except that they spell "lose" as "loose" every time.

Type 4 - "The optimist"

In many ways the opposite to the pessimist, the optimist never admits defeat. They can frequently be found shouting "ALL IN TO VAN NOW!" with 4 marshals still alive in the opposing boss room and no graveyards to spawn at, or "DON'T DIE!" when losing by 500 reinforcements to 3.

Type 5 - "The armchair general"

This type of player knows the perfect tactic to win AV, and will try to command the other 39 players, none of whom he knows, to follow it. Lines such as "group 2 defend SH bunker!", "stealthers to Dun Baldar!" and "do not cap SH graveyard!" are common. The armchair general typically has a bad temper and will often let insults fly if their tactic isn't followed, or if another armchair general with a different tactic is in the same battleground.

Type 6 - "The limited scope armchair general"

This player is similar to the armchair general, but only knows or understands one section of a tactic, not capping Stonehearth graveyard. They can typically be found yelling "DO NOT CAP SH GRAVEYARD" around 500 times every match, and often stand near SH graveyard shouting it and whispering people who might accidently walk within 100 metres of it to ensure that they don't capture it. They will happily remain there for the rest of the game until killed, unless SH graveyard is captured - they then turn into the pessimist.

Type 7 - "The clown" AKA "The baiter"

The baiter attempts to deliberately aggravate one or more other players who is predictable in their behaviour. For example, they will say "LOL GALV SUX, ALL ATTACK!" to Galvangar's best friend, or "I got it, cap SH!" to the limited scope armchair general. The baiter is usually trying to win peer approval and is afraid of being called down, so won't actually cap SH or ignore tactics, they just claim they will.

Type 8 - "The rebel"

The rebel is superficially similar to the baiter, but they will follow through on their threats and are driven by anarchic motives. They never follow tactics and will capture SH graveyard at any opportunity. The rebel cares little about winning and will often AFK out later in the match after annoying sufficient people.

Type 9 - "The AFK King"

The AFK King, unlike a standard AFKer or botter, plays for around the first 2 minutes of every game. He'll use this time to run to the nearest bunker, and possibly kill an archer or cap the flag if feeling particularly zealous. He then spends the rest of the match playing Guitar Hero and can frequently be seen standing around on full health inside a bunker that the other side have just recapped.

Type 10 - "The victim"

A variant of the AFK King, the victim goes AFK in more obvious places such as the starting cave. After inevitably being reported, they'll return and make accusatory remarks such as "Who the hell reported me? I wasn't AFK, I was just going to the toilet/fetching a drink/cleaning up vomit/driving my sick Gran to hospital/giving birth". They generally don't understand the meaning of AFK.

Type 11 - "The inept clicker"

The inept clicker has never actually got into AV, but is included here because they spend more of their time standing close to the AV battlemaster. Their catch phrases include "please move off the battlemaster", "FFS MOVE!!!" and "Where is the battlemaster?" They'll usually give up and log off after around 3 hours, and don't know about name plates.

Type 12 - "The accusatory inept ninja"

The inept ninja speeds ahead of the rest of the team at the beginning of each game, typically using auras, riding crop, stealth etc. to reach the enemy base first. Once they arrive they'll capture a bunker or graveyard then immediately start yelling "HELP DUN BALDAR NORTH!!!" or similar as the enemy team's 12 defenders immediately kill him and take it back with the rest of the team 5 minutes away. They then like to ask "OMG WHY NO HELP???" or accuse the rest of the team of being terrible.

Type 13 - "The pro ninja"

A very rare type of player, the pro ninja never speaks, either because they are focusing 100%, or because they're some form of cyborg that communicates only in binary. They rush an objective single handedly much like the inept ninja, but then use their uber skills to kill any defenders inside or any force that tries to take it back. They can frequently be seen killing 5 enemy players single handedly with their superhuman reflexes.

Type 14 - "The sheep"

The most common type of player, the sheep seeks out the position on the map with the most friendly players. The sheep is slightly magnetic, so if left to their own devices they will move slowly north, attacking Balinda at the start of the game, and then proceed slowly to Dun Baldar, capping bunkers on the way. They will never defend an objective, and will move on with the rest of the zerg as it is capped. If there is significant defence, the sheep is usually the first to die, and will instead usually stand around the Horde base with any other sheep who met with the same fate, whether or not it is being attacked."

It made me smile ;)
im so a pro ninja :P

Just to top my night off

One of my favourite blogs, a druid from WoW insider has put me in his recommended WoW blog list, OMG, i didnt think anyone would ever read this crap. so ontop of an epic performance in TK my night has been made once again by a real life wow celebrity this time :P

Check out Big Bear But Blogger Here :)

This Was A Triumph, Im Making A Note Here, Huge Success

Solarion, High Astromancer no more, she lies shattered before the might of the legion.

This takes us too 3/4 in tempest keep. This reset has been amasing. We have gome from, lets give al'ar a quick look, to standing before Kael.

And getting him to phase 2

I honestly cant express in words how proud i am of my guild at the moment, every single of one of them tonight picked up tactics instantly after being told them, and executed instructions perfectly. This made Solarion a walkover, a piece of dirt that, in my opinion can now be farmed Evan easier than Void Reaver. What a night, what a guild, what an experience.

As for Keal. We didn't really expect to be there so had to pick up tactics WHILE FIGHTING and still his adds went down, twice.

if I'm able to sit still tomorrow it'll be a freaking miracle.

How to Waste Time in raids - Part 1

This is a joined venture with the rather awesome blog Lesser Healing Wave run by my friend and guild mate, Cryon. We plan to share these posts, i do 5 and he do 5, so in the end you have 10 epic ways of passing time in the more dull sections of your raids. (NOTE- i am not responsible for your wipes. if your not paying attention at the critical bits that's your fault :P )

So in the spirit of things, lets start

How to pass time in raids- number 10

The Poker Mod - Link -http://wow.curse.com/downloads/details/3757/

This mod requires more than one of you to play,so i hope you have some slacking friends, and before long you and your friends will be wondering just where exactly all your raid time has disappeared to, i have been told off countless times by my raid leader and i hope you will too!
Enjoy.

Arathi Basin - Part 2

First off if you didn't read my theory in part one, then this probably wont make sense so i suggest you go look it up Here This post kinda follows on from the theories made yesterday.

It looks like something of the drivel i said yesterday may actually be right, (I'm shocked too!) this weekend is Alterac valley weekend, yet the ques to get into Arathi Basin have never been as fast on misery as they were today, on a fair few occasions they would appear in just a few seconds, a big difference from the usual 4-5+ minutes that we usually see. Also while i was in there i was noticing a distinct change in the level of gear that my fellow Hordes were wearing. A few weeks back for example it wouldn't have been out of the ordinary to see a lot of recently bought honor farmed epics (I'm going to refrain from calling them well-fare epics since i am still using a lot of them), but now the average level of gear has gone from that dazzling purple to a nasty shade of green. I think i was the only epic'd out player in more than one of the Arathis that i have been in today, and they were fairly puzzled why i was happy at this Revelation (maybe i was right whoop!), that being said there were still 60 AV's up in the peak hours, while the most Arathis i saw today was 49 (still a big leap up considering it was AV weekend).

But anyway enough of that.

you may have noticed my small post below about hitting 5000/21000 rep in AB, IMO quite an achievement considering the time frame that i have been working in, my actual ending rep for the day was 6510/21000, meaning this weekend i have made approximately 3000 rep, a nice chunk (about 1/7) of the total needed, so a good weekend by any ones standards.

I have had an awesome time in AB today (duh, i was in there 16 hours), i have won about 75% of games and had a fair few 5-0 victories. Among the 16 hours of game play today there have been some rather epic moments, lets see how many i can remember and describe
  1. Me and another Rogue defending stables- This one was great, right at the start of the game i decided i was going to deny the alliance their early points and rode(spelling?) directly to the stables meeting no resistance on the way, there was a shaman and a Warlock defending the flag, after sapping the shaman, my sexy mutilate specc made short work of the warlock, leaving a poor defenceless resto shaman at my mercy. He died. but it took too long (as shamans do) and i was unable to cap the flag before ms warlock showed up again, Death coiling me just a split second before capping, the fight with the warlock this time did not go as smooth as i had hoped, and before i knew it the shaman had also re spawned keeping her alive, when, out of nowhere another rogue appeared an undead who's features were remarkably similar to my own, well with his aid we soon dispatched these 2 and capped the flag, but the fight wasn't over yet. they had obviously called in the reinforcements because aid for them came running in, in the form of a warrior , druid, shadow priest and a mage, making a grand total of 6 overall. Me and my new found rogue buddy held these people at bay for about 6 minutes SOLO, killing them off and watching them come running back as we res a little bit of health is one of the best things i have ever seen myself do in AB.
  2. My Resto shaman friend- Gold Mine this time, me and a restoration shaman left on defence, it seemed quiet and we were chatting while keeping our eyes peeled, and then we say 5 alliance come charging down the hill, we quickly jumped into action, him smashing down his totems, and me stealthing to towards the charging alliance. i immediately stuck what i thought to be the best geared into a sap, and nuked down a hunter, she died almost instantly thanks to a little bit of cold blooded mutilate, i then saw the healer out of the bunch and directed my attention to her, now luckily for me this priest didn't seem to have resilience gear, witch made my life a hell of a lot easier, i began my work on her without re-stealthing this time (there wasn't time) so no cheap shot, and the second i started to attack her the warrior that i had sapped and another turned their attention to me, while the retri paladin of the group turned his attention to MY healer. intercepts and stuns kept me locked down for a while, and in HUGE credit to my healer, he kept me up well, i hit evasion and kept their damage down, but i wouldn't have survived long with out him. The priest goes down with a nice Crit from mutilate (did i mention i love this build?) . But then disaster strikes! I turn my camera to check on my shaman just in time too see him fall, nothing i can really do now, so i started to work on the lesser geared of the warriors, i thought i was going to die at this point anyway, the paladin instead of comming for me decided to try and cap the flag, so i blew my blind cool down on him. Now recently i have been reading up on how to kill warriors, since i had trouble before, and it always mentions rupture. So i did, and lo and behold the lesser geared warrior started to drop, and faster than i was, amazing!, at this point sir shaman has respawned and got to the flag JUST IN TIME to earthshock the paladin who was once again trying to cap it(what a guy <3), class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_38">isn't really "displayed" but this guy was crapping his pants. i could just tell alright? after knocking his HP to about 60% in a single mutilate crit he turned and ran, leaving just his paladin buddy behind. between us dispatched said paladin to the next world. Awesome.
  3. Warglaives, as common as muck -my next awesome moment in AB wasn't actually a tale of victory for me. it was more one of those "oh crap" moments. SO there i was happily riding along when i get cheap shotted. Damn - but not a disaster, until i notice this rogue happens to be carrying a warglaive. suddenly i started to panic, and blinded her. Only to be cheap shotted again. another rogue. another warglaive. i laughed, at least it was going to be an epic death. But i wasn't going to down without a fight, so i hit evasion and started to attack this new rogue, when BAM- intercept stunned. you guessed it a THIRD warglaive in a SINGLE AB, i was confused, i checked the list, of course it was a freakin premade. a premade of awesome. i continued to be raped with a smile on my face, 3 warglaives to bring Quincey down. ill remember that :P
I cant remember any more off the top of my head, hope you enjoyed these mini stories of how much i enjoyed my day of Arathi Basin

Ding 5000/21000

Arathi basin rep, im so nearly there- this seemed like a good enough milestone to celebrate , 5000/21000 rep, just under a quarter of the way there, at this rate i should have it by the end of febuary /cheer!

History - past and present-

Oooh boy, this is going to be a long one i can feel it. Now just remeber ive been playing this game since just after launch, so not everything will be 100% accurate, just to the best of my knowledge.

So, where to begin i guess, I origonally picked up world of warcraft because a bunch of my clan mates ( the Hellraizer clan from aliens vs predator 2 no less) started playing, now being the noob that i was back then i didnt relise there were seperate realms for EU and america, and such i never actually got to play with HR, however, I carried on playing it whenever i wasnt at college, or training on AvP2.

But progress was extremely slow, i wasnt an RPGer, i didnt understand why i wasnt alloud to team kill me fellow hordies, and ironicly my first character was a hunter. After 3 months of on and off play i hit the mid 20's (i know, i was a nub :P ) and stopped playing altogether, back then the servers were down as much as they were up, and i got extremely frustrated with the stupid game altogether.

Several months after that i reactivated my account after hearing one of my friends at college talking about it (although he had never, and still doesnt play), and carried on my leveling to the mid 30's. Around this time i met a group of people through college that would eventually become my leveling buddies, i introduced Tikita to warcraft, and through him made friends that also became wow addicts in turn. At first, it was good. i was playing on the dreanor realm, it was a PvE server, i stopped my leveling to help tikita and co' catch up, it was around WoW's first christmass that tikita left the dreanor realm, in search of a pvp server, my character was a meager level 41 (and still is today).

After numerous rerolls, we ended up on the realm Lightnings Blade, about 6 of us rolled onto their, myself being a shadow priest, by this time my understanding of the game had increased dramaticly, i understood most of the ins and outs of most classes, and leveling this time was far faster, we steamrolled through the levels, ending up at level 60 within roughly 3 months and started to join low end raiding guilds (URBS and ZG for the most part) but Still i was not happy, i stuck it out on my priest, although never really liking the class, and absolutly failing at pvp. This time it was me that skipped server, i coulndt stand 2 things on lightnings blade - 1 - my priest and -2- the alliance, i needed to get back to the horde.

I eventually setteled down onto a funny little realm called Eonar, and began rolling various characters, my first character on this server was a druid that i leveled to 21 in just a few days, but after getting destroyed in the battlegrounds (twinks didnt evan exist back then :P ) i rerolled yet again. A rogue. MY rogue, Me. this class clicked very quickly, i hit level 30 in less than 2 weeks, i had never leveled so fast in my life. I began to pvp, and gain the ranks that were available to me, (although as a rogue looking back now i still sucked :P ) i was happier than i had ever been, Tikita, rolled onto Eonar, a troll shaman! and slowly but surely everyone seemed to follow, we origonally aimed to be a top pvp centered guild on the server, but that idea died its death pretty soon. I started skipping from guild to guild in my mid 40's, Method, Desire, WCIP, you name the old school Eonar guild, i was probably in it, but they all seemed just that little bit too serious for me, i was after content sure, but i wasnt willing to sacrifice my soul for it either. I was browsing the guild list, looking for those that i recognised and that had noticable memebers, then i saw them. Phoenix-Legion.

It was one of the recruitment posts in the trade chat that first caught my eye, a level 50 Priest by the name of zoidybaur, Well i got my application in right away, and was accepted into the ranks of pheonix legion. I had an awesome time finishing my levels. I hit 60 in mext to no time after joining, and started farming the FR resist gear nessary to take me into Moltern Core.

Our first raid on Moltern Core was EPIC, i remeber having a great time, this was the first time i had seen proper content past the first 3 bosses in Zul'gurub. we blasted Moltern Core down, and before long Tikita Joined PL and took up the Shaman Class leader posistion.

I remeber tikita telling me of an open officer posistion, but it was being kept quiet so that people wouldnt start competing for it. I whispered cream and asked if it would be possible for me to
take it up for a while and see if i could stick it out. I did.

So we carried on our steady progress making dents in AQ clearing MC, starting BWL when the Exapansion came.

Ugh, the expansion.

Leveling was slow, Tikita buggered off to play on dreani on a different realm, and without my raids to keep me amused, tensions started to build within PL, After hitting level 7o, and starting to gear a group of my friends and i started to form our own "group" we instanced together, and geared up together to the point where there was roughly 7 or 8 of us ready to start Karazhan. This is when it all went wrong.

They left, Leaving a HUGE gaping hole in PL, leaving its plans to start raiding Karazhan severly crippled, setting thier progress back many months. The members that broke away formed thier own Guild, Simplification, not too long after i followed suit, wanting to get back into a raiding routine, (oh tikita came back and joined this guild too). For a while, it was good, Phoenix legion's good nature kept me friends with them, i kept track of who was doing what. The progress i was after was given to me, SImplification was set to become one of the biggest and best guilds on server, we smashed karazhan within weeks, Gruul and magtheridon shortly after.

But something was missing, that thing that i said i was looking for all those levels ago, i wasnt JUST after the content, i was after the fun and friends too. But to simplification that didnt seem to matter just quite enough, we made our way into SSC and started to rape bosses in there slowly, our geared improved, we were starting to look like top tier raiders as we should, but during all this i still wasnt happy.

During this time Phoenix Legion actually collapsed, mainly due to its lack of progress (imo) although i have heard other versions of why it happened, and as it happened i relised just how much i missed that guild and just how awesome they were. And well you cant keep a good guild down, and just like the Phoenix they are they rose from the ashes, and actually came back swinging.

Almost immediatly after returning from thier collapse they started making very decent proggress in Karazhan, if i remeber right they cleared it from start to finish, killing a new boss every week.

Since i wasnt happy in simplification and tikita wasnt happy on a PvE realm, we switched for a little while back to Lightnings blade, leveling these toons to 70 too. but i couldnt settle on my priest the same feelings had back at 60 began to rise, and i relised just where my place is.

I rejoined Phoenix Legion.
And ive never looked back. Not once. Content means nothing. Friends and Fun in a game mean absolutly everything. and now Im actually starting to get both, Phoenix Legion is killing 25 man bosses in SSC and TK, and make remarkable progress for such a casual guild. They stand strong now while Simplification are no more, they are rerolled and gone from this server.

I now aim, not for content, but to regain my officer posistion within Phoenix Legion, and i intend on doing this by being a top-class raider. Putting time and effort into the guild never goes unnoticced, its just one of the many reasons that this guild is great.

Thats my history on how i came to be the player that i am today. Any questions leave them in the comments below :P

Its 2:21 in the AM, i cant be bothered to proof read that wall of text just now, ill do it in the morning :P

Creamcheese Rerolls

I know what your thinking, The mighty creamcheese cant reroll! he's our main tank! well don't worry my young friend, he is sticking with his warrior, this is just a spare :P

anyway i took him (despite him not yet having much gear, he is freshly dinged 70!) into AB with me, and all i have to say is wow, Druid Healers are imba, he was keeping me up against 5+ people with little problem, and hopefully when he gets some resiliance gear he should do well in the arena (go go 2v2 :P)

anyway here is Creamcheese, can you spot his new druid Morecheese?, its very well hidden.

Arathi Basin

After the disappointing turn out for our mystery 25 man raid, the guild decided to not waste an opportunity and headed for Karazhan for badges and shards.

Now without meaning to brag, my gear simply doesn't warrant going to Karazhan so i gave my spot up to somebody else, headed straight to the Rogue trainer in Orgrimmar and respecced to my favourite pvp specc , 41/0/20, that's right folks, Mutilate a rather epic build for fooling around in a battleground, and great for killing lower resilience targets.

So equipped with my off-specc weapons (emerald ripper and the blade of unrequited) i jump straight into the steady stream of pvp that is Arathi Basin (with the hellish ques of course, this is the misery battle group).

My one aim in pvp at the moment is rep with arathi basin, i have exalted with both warsong gulch AND alterac valley, so with the AB rep grind i should recieve an epic reward, The CONQUERER title. I have always been fond of distinguishing Quincey out from every other Undead male rogues, and Conquerer Quincey just has that epic feel to it that should set me apart. (Not that i don't like legionnaire Quincey of course)

as of about 3 o clock this after noon i was 3500 /21000, i figure 500 rep for the day wouldn't be a bad figure to aim for, so i set on out, and immediately wished i didn't, I'm not sure why it is, but Arathi basin seemed to be completely full of retards and leeches today, more so than normal. Maybe its because its a weekend, maybe its because season 3 is now in full swing and there are plenty of honor based rewards to be earned. I however have a different theory on why AB was so bad today, and it is to do with the recent changes to Alterac Valley.

We all know Alterac Valley is THE grind spot for pvp epics, go get your epics without actually pvping!, hell its where i grabbed most of mine as a casual pvp'er, but we all know this attracts a whole bunch of retards who generally cant pvp to save their life, literally. But this didn't matter, since both teams are equally retarded, it made for fair games, and in my experience the horde:alliance win ratio fairly equal.

The recent changes to Arathi Basin have seen this changed however, for those of you who don't know, in the latest "hot fix" The alliance captain, Balinda, and the alliance General Vandaar have had their HP buffed by a significant amount. In the case of Balinda, quite rightly so, but why Vandaar?

I have an answer quoted straight off an alliance druid on the pvp eu forums.
"Horde already win most games in AB, WSG, EOTS, of course they are going to make it easier for alliance to win one, lets us have one battleground for Christs sake"
Obviously i set him straight, informing him that ab,wsg and eots are identical maps, and no one side has the advantage, but it got me thinking.

Maybe Blizzard HAS thought about this more than i originally thought, they knew that the droves of retards would flock out of Alterac valley and into the other games, making the teamwork and general tactics that the horde used to employ in AB, WSG and EoTs to win a thing of the past, and in doing so giving the alliance a chance to win in THOSE battlegrounds too. It is an interesting concept and one id love to know if Blizzard considered when they made Alterac un-winnable for the horde, i also wonder if it is a good thing for the game overall, i have noticed a significant drop in the number of AV games on the misery battle group, maybe this could mean more people are going to have to PvP for their PvP epics, and maybe just maybe the droves of retards that AV has seemed to prouduced may actually learn a thing or two about not only their own class, but other classes too.

So in a bizarre twist, i Fully support the Buff the alliance got in AV, and welcome in open arms the idiots, retards and afk monkeys into my beloved AB, maybe it will bring in a brighter future for PvP. GG blizz

EDIT

Wanted to prove my point a little so here is a screenshot of the map in the AB i JUST got out of

we already had 3 bases and a reasonable lead, defence was the best option as any season'd veterain of AB will tell you, but they still insisted on attacking every base under the sun, the sign of a true retard.

Sad Panda, Raid Cancelled

Such a shame, but it seems our mystery raid will simply have to remain that, a mystery.
apparantly some people have lifes at a weekend and are unable to raid, 19 is not 25 so we had to call it off.

A little dissapointed
Quincey

Long Live Scryer

The so called shrine of light has been descrated and destroyed, Quincey now feeds upon the priestess's flesh, Long Live Scryer!

Another Day, Another Doller, Another Boss to kill...

After our awesome success last night (still a little bit hyper) we have now cleared half of the rather small instance of tempest keep, and our sights are now resting on that warlock

High Astromancer Solarian

personally i cant wait, friends of mine that have killed her already tell me its as easy as taking candy from a baby, oh boy, do i love candy...

However i have to admit that i actually know nothing of this encounter at all, so straight after im finished here i will jumping straight over to www.bosskillers.com to learn the ins and outs, bringing me to my next point...

Boss tatics, i will be posting here the boss tatics of the bosses my guild are currently aiming at, more for the guilds benefit than yours it will be an easy place for them to come check up on what is going off, i get most of my tatics from www.bosskillers.com, check them out becuase they are made of win and awesome.

Ben Yahtzee

I'd like to bring to every gamers attention this man, his name is Ben 'Yahtzee' Crowshaw a game reviewer for the Internet magazine site www.escapistmagazine.com this guy is proving to me to be an absolute genius!

He is a game reviewer who, try as i might, i simply cant bring myself to argue with, he is producing short flash films about the game that he reviews each week but his films have a twist. They have "zero punctuation", now if this were any other writer or journalist they would have been laughed right off the very spot they were standing, but this guys pitch black humor and seeming knowledge of game design and the gaming market are proving him to be one of the best things that has ever happened to the escapist.

he's sexist racist rude and genuinely doesn't seem to care what his bosses or his viewers think of him witch i think is amazing. Without wanting to sound too cheesy, i hope one day i can write my blog with the same, pure uncompromising honesty that this man has shown

just wanted to throw that out

Plans, devious and devoted alike

So, being new to this "blogging" (is that a word?) business i have been looking around steali..... Borrowing ideas from other peoples blogs, to create what i would like to call
THE MASTER PLAN of what direction i would like to take this blog in.

Now obviously it has to be of some interest to me, and for the sake of your mental health id like to attempt to add some sort of vain attempt at humor.

So- the 3 biggest things in my warcraft career (i bet you cant guess)
1- My guild, this is a perfect start and will probably be one of my biggest topics, my guild are completely insane, progress slowly but well (that doesnt make sense, maybe they wont notice) and are the sole reason i keep playing on a PvE server, witch conveniently enough brings me to point number 2!.

2- PvP, i know i know, its not easy to be funny talking about the constant battle that is the horde and the alliance, but this isn't saving private Ryan, we can all civil enough to enjoy a good (or bad) joke together right, have a laugh with me.... No WITH me not AT me, Yessh[Sniff] evil gits. As far as pvp goes, i am actually terrible, but i enjoy it more than most of those CS kids who are foaming at the mouth while not throwing their keyboards across the room.

3-???

4-This is going to sound weird to most, but i have an in game hobby, i like to climb, as anybody who knows me can tell you, i can climb pretty much anywhere in game with enough time, on live servers, no cheats or 3rd party crack here! now this is a very limited place to write about since most of it is repetitive jumps, fails, falls and deaths until you reach victory so it will be the more picture heavy of my categories, i already have a store of hundreds of pictures already! (Zzz i hear you cry) OK don't panic, i wont make you sit through them all, ill sort through and throw in some on occasion, just to help bring a bit of variety to the page :)

I think that's it, These are the "main" topics i am wishing to cover with this blog, of course all this could have completely have gone to pot in a month and it could just end up another rogues crying-emo-i-cut-myself blog, but i shall endeavour to make that not happen
, more for my sake than yours ;)

as for the photos, here are just a few to give you a general idea on what to expect, you don't like em, run like the wind forest.

Me as high as i could get in Orgrimmar

Inside the castle bit of Stormwind.

A second post! so soon!

Aye lass, we be havin' a second scurvy post righ' ere!

*cough*

sorry dont know what came over me, in fact, yes i do.
Dont you just LOVE Rp'ers, They constantly are a source of amusement to me when all other wells of entertainment have run dry (OH ZOIDY WHERE ART THO) but there are the times when they too simply get on your nerves. Well this GM certainly didnt seem in the mood to deal with these RPPVP/gankers, check out the screeny Here @ lolpirates

right now i have that out of the way, here comes the real reason for the post...

The Mystery Raid!

Tommorow afternoon sees us embarking on what has only been described so far as a mystery raid! The only clue thusfar is that we need 25 people, so using my immense powers of deduction i have decided its not a 10 man instance, it must be a 25 man that we as PL have not yet tried yet.

Here is a list of 25 man instances

Gruul's layer
Magtheridon
Serpentshrine cavern
Tempest keep
Mount Hyjal Caverns of time
Black temple

now since Gruul isnt exactly a bug suprise, we have been to SSC and TK this week i think we can cross them off the list, also crossing off Hyjal and Black temple becuase i dont think anyone is attuned, that leaves oh wonderfull joys of magtheridon.

Now for those of you that dont know, i have killed magtheridon before with my ex-guild Simplification (ill explain at some other time, there is a whole lot of history there)

Now i wonder and worry if PL know exactly what they have let themselfs in for. Don't get me wrong, i have every faith in Phoenix Legion, thier ability to pick up boss tatics has been second to none (see previous post on the al'ar kill), and i dont doubt for an instant just how capable they are at the advanced tatics needed for a smooth successfull Magtheridon kill. I worry about phase 1, i dont think the guild has the nessary tanks geared up to handle the adds.

Despite all that, i look forward to tommorow, becuase the one thing that Phoenix Legion always have been best at is making evan the dullest raids (lol VR) entertaining, and if we get past the nightmare that is phase 1, then suddenly this fight is going to get a Whole lot more interesting :)

And we're up! - Al'ar Downed

wow!, i never thought i would be in a position with enough free time to write a blog, but here i am, inspired by Cryon's shining example i shall strive to write in this whenever i have a thought come to me, or have anything worth writing down!

and to kick us off, along with my god friend Cryon (check out his blog at http://lesserhealingwave.blogspot.com/) My long time guild Phoenix legion have downed Al'ar, The Phoenix God, after 3 nights of agonising wipes (some of witch were my fault but we wont mention that!) a fantastic achievement and a huge congrats and thank you to all those involved. thats just a another character in Warcraft i can scratch off my list (this list will be published soon!)

some nice epic loots were received (although there was a distinct lack of rogue loot), these included Netherbane for Cryon, Talon of Al'ar for Larva and Mindstorm Wristbands for errrm, you got me i wasnt paying attention, NO ROGUE LOOT.

So now our avatar is dead, what do we have left to kill in the mighty instance tempest keep (TK for short), well there is Solarion, who in all honesty i think we have a mighty good chance of downing first night. And of course the legendary Kael'thas, Lord of the instance, and a scary mofo to boot. Looking forward to it?, of course, can i see it Keal'thas dead soon? ha ha, not a chance in hell.

well i think that will do for my first blog post, i honestly hope i get into the swing of posting on here, and maybe on occasion something to do with me that isn't WoW related :)
